Why Plant-based Eating?

I have the worst memory but I think my journey around the end of 2016. Somehow I was introduced to and watched the forks over knives documentary and was hooked. I think originally I was more interested in trying it for the animals than I was for my health. I’ve always been an animal lover so it made sense to me. I even signed up and took their cooking course which I really enjoyed and learned a lot about different cooking methods. Striving For Optimal Health

There are so many health conditions that many of us suffer from and if we’d only eat healthy food we could improve or cure ourselves of these.  It’s time to take control of your health.

Humane Treatment of Animals

There are so many things wrong with factory farming that this industry hides its operations from the public. Not many of us could probably stomach seeing the cruelty and inhumane conditions that exist.

Saving the Earths Resources

We could feed many more people in the world and protect the planets resources by focusing on sustainable farming and growing more food for human consumption rather than factory farm animal consumption.

What’s Next?

Introducing My Meat-eating Family To Plant-based Eating

I would say that I’m pretty open to trying new plant-based recipes and my family is not so this is a super-challenging task I’ve taken on. After losing my mother to cancer in 2022, I’m even more convinced that it’s a worthy mission. I love to cook and I love my family so here goes nothing. I hope you will join me on this journey to discovering a plant-based lifestyle and introducing it to your family as well. I’d love to hear your stories so I hope that you will share them with me.
